I love, love, love this Zandra Rhodes V1617 jumpsuit.  It's an interesting design, open at both sides above the pocket.  You step into it through the neck.  The back tie reaches around to the front and secures with a hook and eye.  Then the front tie wraps around back and around to tie in the front, like an obi.  




Vogue V1470 by designers Tom and Linda Platt, made in 2021.  It's a lined sleeveless underdress with an unlined overdress attached at the neck and shoulder.



I've made two versions of this Vogue V1482.  



Vogue V1614 also by Tom and Linda Platt, is a lined underdress, sleeveless on one side and sleeve on the other, with an unlined overdress attached at the neck and one shoulder.



Another Tom and Linda Platt, Vogue V1720.  The pattern is huge so I had to take it in quite a bit, but I'm happy with the results.


Vogue V1735 is one of their most popular patterns, and has been re-issued as both V1735 and V9253.  I love this one and will definitely make another.  I may go a little daring and make the neck opening a little lower next time.

Vintage Vogue Patterns

I've started to collect uncut vintage Vogue patterns from the "Vogue Paris Originals" and "Vogue Couturier Designs" collections.  The patterns need to have the labels that Vogue used to provide with their designer patterns. I've bought patterns that I've made in the past ( and, sadly, long ago threw away) and ones that just remind me of something I would have made in the past. Vogue 1692 , Vogue Couturier Design pattern by Pucci of Italy.  This pattern was featured in Vogue pattern book February/March 1967.  Sadly the pattern envelope has been scribbled on but the inside is pristine and it has the original label Vogue used to provide with their designer patterns.  This pattern has some sentiment attached as it's the pattern I used to make my prom dress in high school.  It was fairly scandalous at the time as culottes were strictly forbidden.   I had the view on the right, where the ankle was left loose so it would look like a dress when worn, if you ...

Slipcovers and Upholstery

 These slipcovers are made using 10 oz. prewashed cotton duck from Big Duck Warehouse.  The small slipcover chairs were Grandma's.  Because they were prewashed multiple times I can machine wash and dry these if needed - but they need a lot of ironing, so if I ever do this again I'll look for a synthetic that doesn't wrinkle so much. These reversible cushion covers and pillows were made for Cathy in 2016 I bought this rocking chair at a consignment shop and made the cushions using some fabric I had on hand.

V8804 Jacket 2022 https://gm-v8804-2.blogspot.com/ V8991 project 2021 I remade this jacket using raw silk tweed bought at B&J Fabric in 2016.  The first project, in 2020, is at https://gm-v8991.blogspot.com/ . For the lining I started with China silk from Mood, then switched to silk crepe de chine from Mood.   I bought 6 different trims over the years until I finally found one I liked with this fabric.  The fabric is extremely  ravely, bumpy, and easily distorted.  After I started this I read about and will definitely try this if I tackle another fabric like this.   ProSHEER Elegance COUTURE Fusible Interfacing  V1831 project 2021 This cute little jacket was a stash-buster, using a loosely-woven silk houndstooth check I'd ordered from Mood years ago, and lining I had in stash.  I slightly modified the pattern by removing the band at the top of the pocket and adding a band around the cuff.   V8991 project 2020 https://gm-v8991.bl...
